PHILEA Auktionen Hamburg is a new auction house for stamps and coins in a well-known location in Hamburg city centre. Kleine Reichenstrasse has been a fixture for philatelists and numismatists since 1972. This location is associated with professionalism, expertise and a friendly atmosphere that is greatly appreciated by customers.

We have already worked for companies that held auctions for stamps and coins at this location. In cooperation with AB Philea from Stockholm, we want to continue this successful history and, at the same time, offer some fresh ideas and a convincing range of material for collectors and dealers alike. In doing so, we rely on proven expertise and on consignors who have already placed their trust and expertise in the previous companies.

Since its foundation in 1988 in the Södermalm district of Stockholm, our parent company, AB Philea, has grown from a small shop to one of Scandinavia's largest auction houses for stamps and coins. The numismatic section has taken on an increasingly important role, but philately remains a focus of the company. It operates at ten locations in Sweden and Finland.

Now a new one has been added in Hamburg. We hold three to four auctions a year, initially as live auctions, and later also in parallel in the auction room and online. Both companies are committed to intensive exchange and a compelling range of European and Scandinavian philatelic items from both houses, in future also via a joint platform. Consignors and customers will be offered the opportunity to place their material where the market is particularly promising.
